ABC NEWS ONLINE:The Darwin Magistrates Court has been told two women became highly distressed after their names were placed in the escort section of a local newspaper.

Shirley Irene Wright pleaded guilty to two counts of causing a substantial annoyance, after placing ads for the 72- and 56-year-old women without their knowledge.

The ads contained the phrases “Devil after Midnight” and “Erotic Fantasies”.

One victim received 63 inquiries and was forced to unplug her telephone.

The court heard 52-year-old Wright placed the ads as retribution against her former work colleagues after her relationship with the pair soured.

Wright was ordered to conduct 160 hours community work.
